This year, we have once again partnered with Tel Aviv University in Israel to offer the online certificate course – Brain, Medicine, and Artificial Intelligence: The Future of Science. Held in March 2025, the course attracted a group of secondary school students to explore the cutting-edge intersections of neuroscience, medicine, and artificial intelligence.
The course delved into the fundamental mechanisms of the brain, clarified common cognitive misconceptions, and examined how this knowledge translates into breakthroughs in medical practice. Students not only learned about the latest advancements in medical technology but also gained a deeper understanding of the profound impact these innovations have on human health and society. Additionally, the course emphasized the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in decoding brain functions and enhancing brain-computer interactions, providing participants with inspiration for future scientific research and applications.
Through engaging lectures and interactive discussions led by experts from Tel Aviv University, students broadened their horizons and developed innovative interdisciplinary thinking.
Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate issued by Tel Aviv University.
In recent years, campus bullying has gradually become a social issue of concern, significantly impacting students’ physical and mental health as well as the quality of campus life. To address this, the Inspire Education Association (IEA) organized the “Facing Bullying, Embracing Love” student education workshop at Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School on March 6, 2024.
The workshop consisted of two parts:
1) Drama Experience Workshop: Using a relaxed and lively approach, students engaged in role-playing and experienced the feelings of those being bullied. Through this, they gained firsthand insight into the emotions of bullying victims, understood the motivations of the bullies, and empathized with the perspective of bystanders. This allowed the students to consider campus bullying from different perspectives, fostering care and build empathy among each other.
2) Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Workshop: The instructors discussed various types and the respective impacts of campus bullying. They guided students in enhancing their awareness, strengthening emotional management, and improving interpersonal skills. By making informed and responsible decisions, students could build positive relationships.
IEA believes that the combination of these two workshops, students not only enhance their understanding of bullying behaviour and empathy, but also acquire practical skills in emotional management and interpersonal relationships. This contributes to creating a more harmonious and friendly campus environment while assisting them in establishing the right values, eventually positively influencing students’ overall development.
Following the Neurobiology on line training programme held last year, this year we are co-organizing another course with TAU: The Science and AI.
This course explores the intersection of life sciences, exact sciences, engineering, and artificial intelligence. Students will delve into scientific topics and witness how AI is transforming research across various fields. They will have the opportunity to engage with young researchers using AI tools and gain insights into the world of research and AI in different areas of knowledge. By examining the symbiotic relationship between AI and scientific research, students will understand how AI enhances data analysis, experimental design, and scientific discovery. The course also highlights how AI fosters interdisciplinary collaborations and drives innovation. Overall, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the transformative role of AI in scientific inquiry.
Students who complete the course will receive a certificate from TAU.
Inspire Education Association had recently organized the “Facing Bullying, Embracing LOVE” drama experience workshop across ten pilot schools. The primary objective was to empower students to face up the issue of bullying while fostering empathy and compassion for their peers. The students were very enthusiastic and engaged in the workshop.
During the drama workshop, students were fully immersed in authentic bullying scenarios. Through role-playing, they stepped into the shoes of various characters, gaining firsthand insight into the motivations of bullies and the pains of victims. By viewing and/ or experiencing the different scenarios of bullying, students developed a heightened sense of sympathy and a genuine desire to support those affected. Moreover, the workshop expanded students’ understanding of bullying. They recognized that a seemingly harmless behaviour could escalate into bullying when it becomes repetitive and overzealous. This newfound awareness deepened their commitment to creating a caring and respectful environment within their school community.
A pivotal design of the workshop was the active participation of students. They engaged in on-stage role-playing and participated in interactive sessions offstage. Additionally, facilitated interviews allowed students to articulate their thoughts, promoting critical thinking and understanding on the issue of bullying.
Through experiential learning in drama, students not only reflected their own conduct but also cultivated empathy and compassion for others. By doing so, they contribute significantly to a positive and supportive learning environment, where bullying is actively discouraged.
