IEA allows every student the opportunity to advance in the subjects they are interested in, and where they can best utilize their strengths. We strive to provide students with high-quality programmes in a variety of fields and from around the world, with an aim to widen their learning experience, fulfill their unique potential and prepare them for the future world.

Teacher Workshop on the Professional Development Day

IEA arranged a teacher workshop for Yan Chai Hospital Wong Wha San Secondary School on the Professional Development Day.

Our veteran registered educational psychologist partner, Mr Fritz Pang, delivered the workshop on the topic “ Applying Positive Psychology to Class Management” to all the teachers at the school. Through explanation and interactive activities, everyone had gained the insights that positive education in the school setting engages and encourages students to learn more and develop further.

The Wonders of Science: Biotechnology

Hong Kong’s fifth wave of COVID-19 epidemic was very severe, with the number of confirmed cases hitting record high since the middle of February 2022.

Hoping to minimize most of the activities in our society to reduce the chance of infection, the Chief Executive made a special school announcement in late February. Students from primary and secondary schools took the summary holidays (Special Vacation) in March/April and the school term ended by mid-August.

To enrich the students’ learning and experiences, IEA had further collaborated with TAU for another online programme on Biotechnology for students aged 12 to 15 during the Special Vacation.

Students who complete the course will receive a certificate from TAU.

Machine Brains: A Peek into the World of AI and Machine Learning

Israel is considered to be a global leader in high tech. Israel also has the reputation as ‘start-up nation’, showcasing the success of its innovation-driven high-tech economy. Much of the credit for today’s thriving knowledge economy is given to Israel’s education system, from kindergarten to Israeli universities and research institutes.

Israel introduces STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) subjects to Israeli children in kindergarten through middle school to universities, encouraging them to have scientific thinking and prepare them for their adult lives and potential high-tech jobs.

Founded in 1956, TAU is Israel’s largest and most comprehensive institution of higher learning and research. It offers 125 schools and departments across the spectrum of sciences, humanities and arts; Israel’s biggest bio-medical research and teaching complex; and 128 research centres.

Tel Aviv Youth University offers unique programs for talented and gifted high school students, enabling them to integrate within the exciting world of research and academia and enriching their minds with respective subjects with strength.
