From October 17 to 18, 2025, Inspire Education Association organized a “2-Day-1-Night Shenzhen Greater Bay Area Study Tour” for students of The Education University of Hong Kong, creating a unique learning journey that took students beyond the classroom and into the future.
The study tour was designed around two main themes: first, visiting enterprises to experience firsthand how cutting-edge technology is applied in real-world settings; and second, exploring top-tier science museums to inspire students’ interest and imagination in frontier scientific developments.
On the first day, the visit to Eagle Brother Multirotor Aircraft Innovation Co., Ltd. allowed students not only to listen to expert explanations but also to observe up close how multirotor aircraft technology transitions from the laboratory to practical applications in the field. We witnessed students showing strong engagement during the Q&A session and observed them connecting what they saw and learned with their own academic knowledge during the reflection session—this genuine intellectual spark is precisely what we aim to achieve when designing study tour experiences.
The guided tour of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum on the second day provided an interactive and inspiring exploration space. We were delighted to see students actively exploring and unleashing their curiosity to understand various new technologies, knowledge areas, and the transformative innovations in industrial technology.
To broaden students’ perspectives and align with the rapid development of the Greater Bay Area, Inspire Education Association organized a two-day “Shenzhen-Jiangmen Study Tour” for The Education University of Hong Kong from September 27 to 28, 2025. The program aimed to take students beyond the classroom, allowing them to experience firsthand the cutting-edge achievements in environmental technology, advanced manufacturing, and life sciences in Mainland China.
On the first day, the group assembled at the Shenzhen Bay Port before heading to Jiangmen. Students first visited Jiangmen Duyuan Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., where they gained in-depth insights into the resource recovery process for industrial waste and developed a concrete understanding of sustainable development. This was followed by a visit to Jiangmen Feima Plastic Industry Co., Ltd., where they observed smart production lines in a modern factory, experiencing the transformation and capabilities of “Intelligent Manufacturing in China.”
On the second day, the study tour returned to Shenzhen to visit the globally leading genomics research center – BGI Group. Through detailed explanations from experts, students learned about the groundbreaking applications of genetic technology in areas such as disease prevention and agricultural breeding, marveling at how technology profoundly shapes the future of humanity.
This study tour was not only an exploration of knowledge but also an inspiration for career planning. Through on-site visits and exchanges, students expressed a more intuitive understanding of the industrial layout and innovative vitality of the Greater Bay Area. These valuable experiences will help them bring broader perspectives back to Hong Kong in the future.
The “2nd Seminar and Parent Learning Community”, fully sponsored by the Centaline Charity Fund, organized by the Inspire Education Association, and co-organized by The Education University of Hong Kong, was successfully held on September 20 at P.L.K. Chong Kee Ting Primary School. The event brought together numerous parents and education professionals to explore strategies and insights for unleashing the potential of gifted students.
We were honored to have Dr. Lui Tze Leung from The Education University of Hong Kong as our keynote speaker. Drawing on his extensive expertise in differentiated instruction and catering to learning diversity, Dr. Lui provided an insightful analysis of the characteristics of gifted students. He emphasized the importance of nurturing their moral and affective development alongside academic advancement, offering practical guidance for teaching and support.
The subsequent parent sharing session featured Ms. Chan Cho Yuk, an experienced teacher and parent of a gifted child, who shared her personal journey. She sincerely recounted how she supported her daughter in overcoming various developmental challenges – from weak communication skills and a lack of self-confidence to eventually building self-directed learning capabilities and successfully gaining admission to the University of Cambridge. Her experience underscored the crucial role of patient guidance and family support in a child’s growth.
The event fostered a vibrant atmosphere with enthusiastic interaction. Participants unanimously agreed that the content was substantial and highly rewarding.
nspire Education Association organized a two-day study tour to Guangzhou for students from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) from July 3 to 4.
Day 1: Integration of Academia and Green Technology
Upon arriving in Guangzhou via high-speed rail, students visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST(GZ)). They engaged in academic discussions with faculty and peers while touring the campus to experience its smart facilities and innovative educational applications firsthand. In the afternoon, the group explored Guangzhou Sewage Purification Company Limited, Lijiao Branch, where they observed cutting-edge wastewater treatment technologies and learned about urban water recycling systems. This visit provided students with comprehensive insights into sustainable infrastructure.
Day 2: Green Energy Exploration
The second day featured a visit to Guangzhou No.1 Resource Thermal Power Plant. Through guided tours, students examined the process of converting municipal waste into clean energy, gaining deep appreciation for the ecological and technological impact of “turning waste into power.” The tour concluded with the group returning to Hong Kong via high-speed rail.
